TOWNSHIP ENTERS INTO AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN LEGAL PUBLISHING CORPORATION

At the June 2, Board of Supervisors meeting the Board approved to enter into contract with American Legal Publishing Corp. for recodification services that includes incorporating new ordinances, updating the index and tables as needed, reformatting the pages into a new typestyle, including single or dual column print, and printing complete copies of the entire code book. It also includes a legal review and written report by one of our staff attorneys.

TOWNSHIP ADOPTS STORMWATER ORDINANCE 1-2016

At the June 2, Board of Supervisors Meeting the Board adopted ordinance 1-2016 approving the creation of the Intergovernmental Stormwater Committee. Antis Township will join ten (10) other Blair County governments creating a Council of Governments to help each other handle increasingly strict environmental regulations on stormwater.

TOWNSHIP HIRES CONSULTING FIRM TO COMPLETE A COMPREHENSIVE RECREATION PLAN

At the May 7, Board of Supervisors meeting the Board authorized the Township Manager to enter into agreement with Mackin Engineering to provide consulting services to assist the Township in completing a comprehensive park and open space plan. The completion of a comprehensive recreation, park and open space plan provides a municipality or region with an overview of the parks and recreation facilities, programs, and opportunities available and the recommendations to guide decision-making over the next 5 to 10 years. The Township was successful in securing a $12,500 from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to assist in paying for the plan.
