Chris Dutrow, Township Engineer

The Township Engineer must be a registered professional and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors. The Engineer, who is appointed annually, performs duties as the Board of Supervisors direct for the construction, reconstruction, maintenance and repair of streets, roads, pavements, sanitary sewers, bridges, culverts and other engineering work.

The Township Consulting Engineer is appointed by the Board of Supervisors every year at the Township’s January Reorganization Meeting. The Engineer, who must be a registered professional, serves at the pleasure of the Board. Chris Dutrow, P.E. of Stiffler, McGraw & Associates of Hollidaysburg is the appointed Engineer for Antis Township.

Duties

As identified in Section 1202 of the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code, “the Township Engineer shall perform duties as the Board of Supervisors may direct for the construction, reconstruction, maintenance and repair of streets, roads, pavements, sanitary sewers, bridges, culverts and other engineering work. The Township Engineer shall prepare plans, specifications and estimates of the work undertaken by the Township and furnish the Board of Supervisors with reports, information or estimates on any Township engineering work or on any questions submitted by the Board of Supervisors.”

These charges can be minimized or avoided by a complete and thorough proposal and application which complies with the Antis Township Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance and Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance.
