Antis Township updated its waste and recycling ordinance that regulates both municipal waste collection and disposal, and recycling in early 2023. While many provisions are identical to our old ordinance, several new provisions have been added to bring us into compliance with state and federal laws and to improve our waste and recycling practices.

Each resident chooses what municipal waste company will service them. Recycling is voluntary in the Township and waste haulers are required to offer recycling pick up. The township provides containers (funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Act 101 grant program) for the township residents to use to encourage recycling. These containers can be picked up at the municipal building during business hours or residents can use the township’s drop-off facility at the township building on North Second Street.
