WARNING: STARTING APRIL 16, 2026 A BURN BAN IS IN EFFECT
A Burn Ban, which prohibits the ignition and burning of open fires, is now in effect for all of Antis Township. This Burn Ban is in effect due to the Elevated Risk of Wildfire based on the dry conditions across Central Pennsylvania.
This ban pertains to ALL Outdoor Fires, including recreational fires , fires within a container, and prohibits the burning of any material. Residents are also urged to use caution when handling any potential ignition sources such as machinery, discarding cigarettes, gas or charcoal grills, etc.
The Burn Ban is effective immediately (April 16, 2026) and has been approved by the Antis Township Supervisors in coordination with Excelsior Volunteer Fire Company. Projected rain showers in the forecast are not expected to significantly reduce the risk of fire
