TOWNSHIP AWARDED RECREATION GRANT

On December 6, the Board of Supervisors were notified by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural resources the grant we submitted back in the Spring for recreational improvements to the Bellwood-Antis Park was awarded. The grant amount was for $200,000.00.

BLAIR COUNTY COLLABORATIVE TMDL AND POLLUTION REUCTION PLAN

The Blair County Collaborative TMDL and Pollution Reduction Plan (PRP) prepared on behalf of the Blair County Intergovernmental Stormwater Committee by the Center for Watershed Protection is now available for public viewing.  We are seeking public feedback and request those who have comment to attend our next ISC meeting which will be held on August 17, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Logan Township Municipal building.  To view a copy of the Plan please Click Here.

BOARD ADOPTS ORDINACE TO ADDRESS STORMWATER REGULATIONS

At the June 2, Board of Supervisors Meeting the Board adopted ordinance 1-2016 approving the creation of the Intergovernmental Stormwater Committee.  Antis Township will join ten (10) other Blair County governments creating a Council of Governments to help each other handle increasingly strict environmental regulations on stormwater.  To view a copy of the Ordinance please Click Here.

TOWNSHIP ENTERS INTO AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN LEGAL PUBLISHING CORPORATION

At the June 2, Board of Supervisors meeting the Board approved to enter into contract with American Legal Publishing Corp. for recodification services that includes incorporating new ordinances, updating the index and tables as needed, reformatting the pages into a new typestyle, including single or dual column print, and printing complete copies of the entire code book. We would also like to remind residents that residences of Blair County are qualified, meeting certain requirements, to apply for the States Clean and Green Program. The Pennsylvania Farmland and Forest Land Assessment Act, Act 319 (as amended) is a state law, authorized by the state constitution, that allows qualifying land which is devoted to agricultural and forest land use, to be assessed at a value for that use rather than Fair Market Value.
